[Indie - Pop] Blacks& - The Race is On

Admittedly, Blacks& have a slightly tropical Vampire Weekend sound, but with better vocals and zero of the whining. Then you start to realize they have combined the best of Vampy Weekend with a dreamy du-wop fervor that makes you feel all giddy inside. Picture an attractive quartet of 20 somethings dressed in matching dark suits and skinny ties, all signing around an old school microphone.

[Funk - Pop] Ellie Goulding - Lights (Shook Remix)

Along with Ellie comes mass amounts of remixes of her tracks (which I’m sure some of you are sick of hearing). All I’ll say to this one is give it a chance. Shook takes a funky beat and puts Ellie’s Golden vocals on top of them for a track that makes you want to do nothing more than dance.

[Hip - Hop] Hoodie Allen - Ain't Gotta Work

The wait is finally over! Hoodie has dropped first EP, “All American”. “All American” is a nice mixture of upbeat and laid-back hip-hop. Again, hoodie has been great with fans over his EP. He has promised to try and call every fan who buys his 8 song EP on iTunes for only $5 dollars! Hoodie is already trending on twitter, so I suggest you listen to this EP and find out what you are missing out on.

[Indie - Pop] Blue Boats - Summers Down

If you like your music sweet, drenched in reverb and effortlessly catchy, then ‘Summer’s Down’ might be your new jam. Created by Blue Boats, UK student Oliver Gale’s electronic bedroom project, ‘Summer’s Down’ captures the giddy highs of sunshine and will have you desk-dancing within seconds of pressing ‘play’.
