[Indie - Pop] Winter Gloves - Dancing My Heart Out

Montreal indie rockers, Winter Gloves, recently announced that they’re going to be touring with New Zealand’s The Naked and Famous this summer. Winter Gloves’ latest release was a three-song EP entitled “Heart Out” released back in March. I’ve had “Dancing My Heart Out” on repeat for the past couple of days. I just can’t seem to get enough of this one song! If you haven’t given the EP a listen yet, I would highly recommend getting your hands on a copy of it.

[Alternative] The Vaccines - Tiger Blood

The Vaccines took a plane to NYC to work with a familiar face, Mr. Albert Hammond Jr (from the Strokes) who produced their most recent song 'Tiger Blood'. Albert’s role here feels more like a collaboration that just being the conductor, the drums fast-lead us through the track (in a “Wreckin’ Bar” style) and we have two guitars fighting over each other for the main riff while the gravelly voice of Justin moves smoothly along the straight forward Jesus And Mary Chain-esque melody.

[Indie] Young Empires - Enter Through the Sun

Young Empires have released their new single “Enter Through The Sun”. The release comes via the label Pirates Blend. The clean vibrant dance efforts that have made them one of my favorite up-and-comers is not lost on “Enter Through The Sun”. Feel good chants over deep bass grooves make a nice pact with icy cool synths. It’s the bands tightest moment yet, leaving a solid feeling that this is only the beginning. There’s not a doubt in my mind that Young Empires are in for a big 2012.
